| This Technical Description concerns the supply of 18 kV cast-resin rectifier transformers in the 0.6 MVA to 2.6 MVA power range. This Framework Market Survey will be followed by several Invitations to Tender, the first one being planned to be issued in Q4 2022. Total estimated quantity of transformers to be delivered is about 100 units. The Supply shall comply with the following parameters and characteristics: • The transformers shall be designed for cycling operation, with a cycle length in the order of a few seconds; • The transformers will supply rectifiers that provide DC current to the magnet. Therefore, the transformers shall be suitable to operate with a relatively high content of harmonics; • The transformers shall be three-phase with separate windings. The HV winding shall be cast-resin insulated. The LV winding shall be either cast-resin or vacuum pressure impregnated; • Individual insulated screens shall be placed between the primary and secondary windings; • The transformers shall be equipped with temperature monitoring probes (Pt-100 type); • The degree of protection of the individual transformers shall be IP00, according to IEC 60529. These transformers shall be installed inside metallic enclosures, with a degree of protection of IP3X; • The transformer shall be cooled by natural air circulation (AN), without or when installed inside its enclosure; • The measured partial discharge level shall remain below 10 pC, according to IEC 60076-11; • The transformers shall have the Fire, Environmental and Climatic classification of “F1”, “E2” and “C2” respectively, according to the standard IEC 60076-11; • The transformers and the enclosures shall be designed to be operating or stored under outdoor conditions permanently.
