This Technical Specification concerns the supply of 25600 pumping slot shields for HL-LHC beam screens (60 pcs. pre-series and 25540 pcs. series).
The delivery of the pre-series shall take place within five months from notification of the Contract.
The delivery of the series is foreseen over 28 months from notification of the Contract
The pumping slot shields shall be made of precipitation-hardened CuBe2.
They shall clip onto the beam screen cooling tubes to ensure an efficient heat transfer.
The different types shall be designed for compatibility with cooling tube diameters of 6 and 10 mm.
